Great news for Chris Froome fans- after initial refusal to take part in the upcoming Tour France 2015, the 2013 Tour France champ has finally agreed to take up the challenge once again with full vigor, after Giro & Vuelta Espana next year.

The Team Sky star had to unfortunately withdraw from this year’s Tour France following a severe crash on the 5th stage. Thus, when the Tour France organizers displayed a rigorous mountainous route for next year, Froome had expressed his concerns.

However, Froome, who recently got married to his beautiful manager Michelle last month, is now back in full-on training with Sky in South Africa. He has already begun building his upcoming season to lead at Tour France.

“I have thoroughly relished my off time & at present I am deeply focused on prepping myself up physically & mentally for the upcoming season”, remarked Froome. “I have started to train in South Africa’s warm weather where I’ve got some really decent miles on bike.”

The 2013 Tour France winner has not ruled out chances of another triumph at the most prestigious cycling event of the world next year. However, having finished 2nd at 2014 Vuelta Espana, the Kenya born rider is pretty aware how tough it would be to triumph at any of the 3 blue riband races.

“The Tour would be my prime focus for the coming year”, noted Froome. “The very concept of riding at all 3 Grand Tours within the same season is no doubt appealing but again I am pretty aware how tough it gets to do 2 Grand Tours whilst targeting overall win. It could be that at some point of time, other races might take preference yet for 2015, it is always the Tour”,  he added in.
